Pilates for Beginners
Pilates is a series of exercises designed to balance, re-align, strengthen and improve the body's flexibility and muscle control. By focusing on the deeper muscles within the body you will start to feel a strengthening effect like never before, with much stronger core and body awareness. These positive effects on the body will start to show up in everyday life - not just when exercising. For example - you may need to adjust the rear-vision mirror in the car due to a more lengthened spine, or notice that your back ache is disappearing!
Wherever your body is at, we have designed this program to ensure that you can achieve great results in the safest possible way. The course will progress you through from foundational, basic movements so you can perfect these before moving on to the next video. You will be taught how to breathe correctly, set up for each exercise the right way and gain muscle strength throughout the entire body. Each video will consist of 3 - 5 exercises concentrating on 1 particular group of muscles so you can achieve balance throughout the entire body once completing each series. Please take your time, and stay with the beginner series until you have reached a competent level of execution and feel ready to move on - but make sure you are using the correct muscles for each movement. The benefits you can look forward to are: increased strength in each muscle group (in particular your core), improved flexibility, better posture, a stronger lower back, improved mind-body connection and an energised body.
